Forum ICT 2010
Plus grand forum européen consacré à la recherche et à l'innovation numérique, cet événement bisannuel de la Commission européenne s'est tenu du 27 au 29 septembre 2010 à Bruxelles dans le cadre de la Présidence belge de l'Union européenne

Cet événement est devenu le point de rencontre des chercheurs, dirigeants d'entreprise, investisseurs et décideurs politiques actifs dans le secteur de l'innovation numérique. ICT 2010 s'est concentré sur les priorités politiques telles que l'Agenda numérique européen, ainsi que le prochain programme de l'Union Européenne pour le financement de la recherche et de l'innovation dans le secteur des TIC.
Les thèmes majeurs de la conférence ICT 2010
Deux thèmes majeurs ont été retenus:
- moteur pour un futur durable: le potentiel des technologies numériques pour le développement durable et une économie pauvre en carbone
- le visage de l'ère numérique: le rôle positif des technologies de l'information et de la communication (TICs) dans la vie quotidienne des citoyens et l'apport constructif de la participation publique dans le processus d'innovation.
Plus de 200 stands à la pointe de la recherche
Plus de 200 exposants étaient présents pour faire partager les dernières avancées en matière de recherche technologique. Des chercheurs venus d'Europe et d'ailleurs ont exposé leurs dernières trouvailles en matière d'innovation numérique et ont présenté les nouvelles technologies qui seront bientôt commercialisées. Pour la plupart, il s'agit d'instituts de recherche, de sociétés du secteur des TIC, d'universités, d'organisations gouvernementales et du secteur non-marchand.
Cette année l'esprit d'innovation de la Belgique fut mis à l'honneur, et le pavillon belge a mis en avant les technologies développées actuellement en Belgique. 16 entreprises et 6 organismes institutionnels occupaient la partie consacrée à la Wallonie.
